Do we need to be Catholic?
Absolutely not! We welcome students of all faiths or none. We model and emphasize acceptance and inclusiveness of everyone to our students. However, our curriculum is faith-based, and all students are required to participate in religious observances such as mass and liturgies.
Must we live within a certain geographic area?
No. We welcome students from all parts of the Los Angeles metro area.
How does your curriculum compare with public schools, and are you accredited?
Our curriculum equals, and in many cases exceeds state and federal educational standards. We are fully accredited through both WASC (Western Ass’n Schools and Colleges) and WCEA (Western Catholic Educational Ass’n).
Are you open year-round?
No. Our 2011-2012 school year is August 17, 2011 - June 22, 2012.
Do you offer preschool?
Yes. It is an all day pre-school and we accept children from the age of 2 ½ that are fully potty trained.
What are your scheduled school hours?
Our gates open at 7:00 a.m. daily. Supervision is provided for the students until classes begin.
Regular school hours are 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily, except for Wednesdays, which end at
12:15 p.m. The school’s car gate is locked each day fifteen minutes after school ends.
Do you offer after school care?
Yes. We provide after school student supervision until 6:00 p.m., and have several payment plans to accommodate parents’ various needs.
Do you have a lunch program?
Yes. We provide daily breakfasts and lunches for all students, based on a sliding scale, and are Federally funded for students that fall below a specific income level.
Do you offer extracurricular activities?
Yes! We have a terrific sports program for both boys and girls:
Basketball, Flag football, Volleyball, Track, Soccer, Softball
We also offer other academic and physical activities:
Chess Club, Peer tutoring, as well as a Dance program.
Additionally, we have a large computer lab that is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and parents are highly encouraged to come in and learn and practice, as well.
