Philosophy

We, the faculty and staff of Saint Elisabeth School recognize the parents as the primary educators of their children. Together we empower the students to live the gospel values of love, peace, justice, respect, and service in their everyday lives. As a staff, we actively model our faith and integrate it into every aspect of instruction. We foster the development of the whole student by creating a challenging environment rooted in the Catholic beliefs and traditions that inspire the love of God and the love of learning.

Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Elisabeth School Learning Academies is to provide an excellent academic and spiritual foundation that will empower the students to be moral and responsible citizens who effectively apply technology as a tool of learning and as a means to actively participate in the global community.

Computer Games in the Classroom
Students in 6th grade recently got some first hand experience with city planning. They are studying early civilization and they had the opportunity to work with a computer simulation that let them build their own city state. The students worked in groups and made decisions about what to build, what food to grow (and how much) , where they needed roads, etc.... The students got immediate feedback and saw first hand how their decisions effected their city. It was an amazing experience that made them really think about what they had learned.
